The thought of knowing that someone committed suicide at her school scared Bliss. All in all, though, I thought this was really solid book, and bliiss impressive when set next to Myracle’s other books – she’s able to pull off really dissimilar styles very successfully, which I applaud.
The story takes place to during the heart of the Manson family murders which are often referred to in the story. The ending ended up flat, uneventful, and just plain uncool.
Later, they go on to have this rebelling society discussion that makes me question Mitchell’s character, but this is never talked about again. The murders don’t really have anything to do with Bliss and what’s happening with her, but as was Myracle’s intention, it created a really creepy ambiance. The resolution left me pretty devoid of emotion.

It excelled in the witch-y aspects the laurn of another world being beyond our own and the ability of Bliss to access it but characters like Sandy, Sarah Lynn, and Mitchell fell completely flat. She noticed the clues to what was happening but decided to ignore them, so she did get on your nerves a bit.
Don’t get me wrong – I was so glued to these pages that I mygacle it in a day and a half. Or it did, until the last quarter of the book, which went downhill.

Lauren Myracle, the author of TTYL, has written a disturbing horror novel that takes the reader deep into the hippie culture.
Myracle gives equal weight to the evil of the Tate-LaBianca slayings, the Ku Klux Klan, and her malevolent spirit who controls girls from the dead, demanding a blood sacrifice. At first everything seemed really firmly established – the setting, the backstory, the era, etc. Bliss, who wanted friends so badly she could taste it, doesn’t fight for their safety.
It doesn’t help matters that Bliss also hears a voice, a blood voice, coming from the hall where a girl supposedly killed herself years earlier. Learn how we rate. The chapters are divided alternately by excerpts from a lakren diary, quotations from ‘The Andy Griffith Show’ and folk songs as well as the trial of Charles Manson and his Family for multiple murders.
I wanted to go through the book and shake her back to reality sometimes, which is what Bliss tried laureb couldn’t do. Bliss, by Lauren Myracle is the book that I was reading and the book is about a fourteen year old girl named Bliss. I love a good creepy book and this did not disappoint.
She’s not unknown to kindness, however, and when blisx decides to take Sandy, the school’s most eminent social pariah, under her wing, Bliss will learn that sometimes, kindness bljss the completely wrong way to go. It’s set during the Vietnam War, and Bliss is the teenage daughter of hippies who leave her with her rich, conservative grandmother in the South while they run off to Canada to avoid the laurren. Bliss Inthemorningdew – hippie parents, don’t ask – has been dumped on her prissy Grandma’s hands as soon as her parents decided to make it to Canada, so as to evade Nixon’s idea of American patriotism.
She also, however, makes friends with a girl named Sandy, who is large, largely made fun of, and, really isn’t very likeable. She’s nervous about fitting in and making friends, but not to the point of silencing her opinions, particularly about how Lawrence, the token black student at her high school, is treated publicly and privately.

Does this type ymracle media appeal to you? It also had way too much happening in the plot. The end message is depressing, with evil triumphing. I only wish that Myracle would have spent mor I have mixed feelings about this book.
Bliss was a great character and her story at the commune was one that could have been a book on its own as well.
