And I was really impressed that, for a novella, Young managed to create an intriguing world, give us an involved storyline with lots of emotion and finish off with a satisfying HEA.

Maybe it’s simpler that way, but its so tragic that she pretty much gives up her existences to be with a man she only knew for a couple of months. Refresh and try again. It can actually be an excellent full-fledged novel. I picked this one up years ago but never seemed to find the time to get around to it. So would my best friend. Aside from a small hiccup at the very end of the book it was just flat.

Honestly, I thought Brennus would be some extremely morose, extremely upset-with-his-existence kind of a Grim Reaper, but as it turns out, he was quite wicked, dark, and even playful at times.

While her impression seems much darker than his true character; with a life surrounded by death it is realistic to tearfrop see would accept existence of a Reaper with ease.
