Shop Manual – Jerry Kuhnhausen – Forum
Kuhnhausen’s work is first-rate and well worth the money asked. These are not books specifically on customizing abut rather, they are books on the and its specifications.
Very detailed, very good read. These are great books. Although it has detailed pictures, etc. I have both volumes, but haven’t looked at either one in over a year. The text assumes you already know how to do stuff, and doesn’t explain in detail a lot manualls things that I needed explained.
It’s not that good in this respect. Just depends on amnuals you are trying to do. Better off borrowing it first, if you can.
A Shop Manual
Has anyone checked out the manual from Wilson Combat? Sounds like a bargain. Yeah, I have the Wilson xhop. He does put some useful info in there, but much of the book is how to intall Wilson aftermarket parts.
The S&w Revolver a Shop Manual by Jerry Kuhnhausen Very Good 1990 Edit
Funny how that works. At least Kuhnhausen doesn’t have a line of parts to plug. He really should, his is one of the best-known names. He’d sell a lot of whatever he deigned to make I have the wilson book, bought from someone on one of these forums, and it was a tremendous dissapointment.
One of my biggest pet peeves is publishing garbage; I just don’t think it’s right to pollute the world with poor writing. I agree with the comments on the Wilson book also. The pictures are horrible – obviously not the same attention to detail that they put into their guns.
As far as I am concerned, they are not “the best”, they are “the only” books on accurizing and working on the type pistol. Take the part about how the pistol works with a bit of salt, as he really does not seem to understand recoil operation, but the rest is great. Posting Rules You may not post new threads.
