1689 Baptist Confession of Faith
The Baptist Confession of Faith  also called the Second London Baptist Confessionwas written by Particular Baptistswho held to a Calvinistic soteriology in England to give a formal expression of their Christian faith from a Baptist perspective. Despite the fact that the document was written inthe official preface to the document has 16899 that it would be known as the ” Baptist Confession of Faith”.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, in whom, by the appointment of the Father, all power for the calling, institution, order or government of the church, 16689 invested in a supreme and sovereign manner; neither can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof, but is that antichrist, that man of 11689, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the church against Christ.
